Dear Members,

We will be holding our first E level Rally at BREC next week on Wednesday and Thursday from 10am. This is designed for the younger members to prepare them for the D Rally which is the first compulsory Test in the Pony Club. The focus is very much on safety and familiarity with both the ponies and the equiptment such as grooming kit and tack. A lot of time will be spent with the ponies, practicing the basics that children in Hong Kong don't often get time to practice, such as putting on and tying up a headcollar and leadrope.

If you would like your child to do the E Rally, please fill in their details beloThere will be a maximum of 6 children in the rally. If we have more children than places we will put on another E rally in the next week or two, so please let us know any information that might help such as time constraints, venue etc.

Day one will be one and a half hours long, but day two will be up to two hours, depending on the number of people on the course.

The children will be assessed over the two days for the stable management side of the test, but the ridden section will take place in the last half hour of day two. The children will need to demonstrate that they are able to mount (with a mounting block) and dismount and be able to get a leg up. They will also have to demonstrate that they can make the pony walk, turn and halt off the lead rein, and be able to do a short trot (rising trot not necessary) on the lead rein.

More information can be found here

The price for the E Level Rally and test is $600

Kind regards
Tara
