This event is in the past.

Dear Pony Clubbers,

The Next HKPC Camp will be held at Tuen Mun Public Riding School from Wednesday April 8th to Friday April 10th incl. Spaces are limited to 24 children for operational reasons and the age range is 7 to 12 years only.

Registration will close on March 24th. (Please note registration is only complete once we have received your proof of payment)

Detailed times will be sent with confirmation emails, but camp will  start around 8.30am every day and finish at approximately 6pm on Day One & Two. The last day is Show Day and water games, and will finish a little earlier.

Level: Please refer to the Riding Level page of our website to determine your level when you register.
You do not need to have the relevant test, just be of that level.
For example, if you can do all the things that it states for the Novice Level then you may enter that level, whether or not you have passed your D+ Test.

PLEASE NOTE: Your children may be ridding ponies that they are unfamiliar with so we strongly suggest you are very careful when selecting their riding level.

Activities: Each child will be paired with another member and will share a pony with them for the whole of camp. They will ride twice a day, except on competition day. Though the riding is obviously the highlight, one of the very important parts of camp is learning how to look after the ponies, something which in Hong Kong is not very easy to do.  During camp each pair will be responsible for administering to all their ponies needs, that means mucking out the stables, cleaning their water bowls, grooming, tacking up, washing down, talking to them and generally making a fuss of them!
Each more experienced camper will act as a mentor for a less experienced camper, to help them learn how to do all these things during camp. There will also be non stable activities such as horsey arts and crafts.

Food: On the first day campers are asked to bring a packed lunch, the second day we order in Pizzas, and on the third day there will be a BBQ with burgers, hot-dogs and hopefully some salads and deserts provided by our kind Pony Club Parents! Throughout camp there will be water and squash available, as well as unlimited fruit and snacks.

Volunteers: These camps cannot run without the help from volunteers, and we always struggle to find enough people. With this in mind, parents, if you are able to help in any way on any day please please put your name down when you register your child.

We are very happy to have the older members of the Pony Club come and help at camp, so please let me know if you would like to volunteer.

Parents may come to watch and support their children on the Show day, but for Day 1 and 2, please, only parents who are scheduled to help.

Camp Fee: $2,500 Payment can be made online or ATM

Payment details can be found on the JOIN HKPC page.

You will also need to fill out the new HKPC Release, Assumption of Risk, Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement

If Camp is over-subscribed, family names will be drawn out of a hat once registration has closed and you will receive an email informing you of whether you have a place or not. If two children from one family register they will either both receive a place, or neither.

If you have any questions, please email us at
