This event is in the past.
Registration is now open for the Beas River Senior Residential Camp. Spaces are limited due to the number of horses/ponies we can get, so please register early. The cost of camp is $4,500 this includes a full four days of camp (we have added an extra half a day!) with two rides per day, accomodation for 3 nights in the Beas River Chalets, all meals, water and healthy snacks.
Payment should be made together with your registration. Your registration will only be considered complete when we have received proof of payment. Please read the Event policy document found below regarding payment methods and cancellation. (these can also be found in the "Documents" folder under the "Files" tab on the website).
Camp is open to members 13yrs and above, and Intermediate Level. 12 year olds may be allowed if they are very securely at the correct level (at the discretion of the DC). This is roughly about C Test Level - you do not, this year, have to have your C Test but you should comfortably be at that level. Please refer to the riding Levels page of the website for a description of levels. It will be at the discretion of the District Commissioner as to whether you are of a high enough level to join the camp. This is for safety reasons as it is a cross-country camp.
Members may wish to bring their own livery horse, but due to feed, transport and stabling costs (which the HKPC will pay for) there will be no reduction of camp fees
Day One and Four info
9am arrive at chalets, camp briefing.
10am assessment ride.
We will hold the showjumping competition in the morning and the cross-country in the afternoon. The showjumping will start around 9am and the cross-country around 3pm. There is a large gap in the middle due to the HKJC restriction on summer riding hours. During this gap we are hoping to run a quiz.
As always parents are very welcome to come along on the show day and we will need volunteers for the cross-country jump judging in the afternoon (no horsey knowledge needed). You may also join us for lunch, we will not charge, but of course any donations will be gratefully received. If you wish to join us for lunch please state how many people on the registration page as the catering staff will need specific numbers.
The prizegiving will be at approximately 4.30pm. Pick up around 5-5.30pm
